We as Agricultural Contractors have been providing a contract farming service to Kent & Sussex farmers since 1972. We aim to deliver a first class service providing complete arable and grassland services and forage conservation with well maintained and up to date agricultural equipment.
We carry full public and products liability insurance to cover all our services and work within the relevant NFU guidelines on health and safety. Please take some time to look at our range of services and if you would like any further information please get in touch.
We can offer either full or part operations for forage conservation and we pride ourselves in taking the time to ensure that the end result is high quality forage.
Scientific studies show that grass and maize ensiled efficiently and consolidated effectively will result in a higher quality, more nutritious forage to meet our dairy and beef farmer needs for their winter feed. We can also offer advice on silage making procedures, additive use and techniques in order to improve an existing system, if required. We have trained and experienced operators in order to provide contracting services to the highest possible standard.
History
We set up this agricultural contracting business in 1970 after graduating from the Royal and Plumpton Agricultural Colleges. Having grown up on a farm we had an instinctive affinity in all things agricultural
Gradually the business developed and we decided in the early 80's to invest in machinery in order to widen the services we could offer. A basic line up of operations was offered to include forage harvesting, ploughing and drilling. These original services have been developed over the years and now include a much wider range of grassland and arable operations and also several specialist services alongside to compliment them.
Our father spent 25 years of his life as a dairy farmer and our contracting business was born out of the need to feed our livestock.
To this day the business has matured to offer a whole range of agricultural services and operations to meet the needs of the progressive landowner and farmer.
